Your new role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent experienced Hard Services Manager to join our Glasgow school's account.
This role is on site based.
The standard hours of work are 37.5 per week. (Monday to Friday 08:00am - 16:00pm)
Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Glasgow Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 30 schools (Europe's largest educational Private Finance Initiative).
The successful candidate will supervise the implementation of all robust services. Your role will involve ensuring smooth functioning and high standards of service excellence, aligned with the requirements of our Glasgow Schools Account. Your leadership and expertise will be pivotal in maintaining essential assets. You will oversee a team of four engineers: Electrician, Mechanical Engineer, Plumber, and Fabric Operative.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of Technical Compliance & Hard FM functions.
- Plan and deliver PPM services to meet contractual requirements.
- Manage and assess performance of four direct reports.
- Audit and maintain assets, in conjunction with asset & lifecycle management plans.
- Drive innovation to ensure best practices in technical compliance.
- Ensure remedial activities are conducted in line with SLAs and continuous improvement is achieved.
- Manage services and collaborate with the finance team to meet budget targets for Hard Services.
Candidate requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Hard FM & Technical Compliance in critical environments.
- UK-recognized technical qualifications in Building Services or related disciplines.
- Experience in budgeting and managing complex Hard FM projects.
- Experience in contract service delivery, KPIs, and SLAs.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
