Position Details

You must have a live NMC UK pin to be considered for this post.


This is a permanent, part-time position of 34.1 hours per week. (Please note the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.)


The shift pattern involves a 24-hour day/night rotation.


About the Emergency Complex

The Emergency Complex at Glasgow Royal Infirmary cares for approximately 300 patients daily, across its Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Unit (Medical Assessment Unit). We are seeking a new Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team.


Candidate Requirements

  • Passion for Emergency/Urgent Care and care of deteriorating patients.

  • Ability to perform under pressure.

  • Willingness to learn and improve.


Extended skills such as Venepuncture, Cannulation, and IV medication administration are desirable. If you do not currently possess these skills, we will support you to develop them. We offer excellent training and learning opportunities for ongoing professional development.

Emergency Departments and Acute Assessment Units are dynamic healthcare environments. Working within our diverse teams, you will develop the skills and experience necessary to succeed in a demanding setting.
