We provide a range of services including acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
We are seeking a permanent, full-time (part-time considered) Band B8d Psychology Professional Lead for Specialist Services. These services include adult mental health services such as Early Intervention in Psychosis, Eating Disorders, Perinatal Mental Health, Psychiatric Liaison, and Unscheduled Care. The role involves providing clinical and professional leadership to Practitioner Psychologists and Psychological Therapists, overseeing governance infrastructure, and contributing to service development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and clinical leadership within Specialist Services.
- Support and guide Practitioner Psychologists and Psychological Therapists.
- Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the Specialist Services Senior Management Team and provide psychological advice.
- Hold line management responsibilities for some staff members.
- Engage in clinical sessions across services as negotiated.
- Support workforce development and supervise clinical placements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- HCPC registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
- Significant experience as a Consultant Clinical or Counselling Psychologist in secondary care adult mental health services.
- Proven leadership experience with Practitioner Psychologists and Therapists.
- Operational line management experience is desirable.
