Airswift is partnering with a major Energy Company on an exciting opportunity for a Safety Engineer in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
You will support and lead a range of safety projects within high-hazard industries, including Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Low Carbon energy, contributing to the energy transition.

You will support and lead a range of safety projects within high-hazard industries, including Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Low Carbon energy, contributing to the energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safety engineering projects with technical excellence
- Conduct safety assessments (e.g., consequence analysis, QRA, FSA, COMAH/Safety Case compliance)
- Write and review technical reports
- Mentor and lead junior engineers
- Prepare proposals and cost estimations for new scopes
- Engage directly with clients and help build strong relationships
- Contribute to business growth and continuous improvement
- Perform additional duties as reasonably required by the organization
- Degree in a relevant engineering or related discipline
- Chartered status (or close to obtaining it)
- Strong experience in Process/Technical Safety within the energy sector
- Proficiency in risk and safety management, QRA, and consequence analysis (PHAST preferred)
- Solid knowledge of COMAH, Safety Case Regulations, and other relevant standards
- Proven ability to lead scopes, manage budgets, and meet deadlines
- Strong technical writing and peer-review skills
- Experience contributing to winning proposals
