Airswift is partnering with a major Energy Company on an exciting opportunity for a Safety Engineer in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

You will support and lead a range of safety projects within high-hazard industries, including Oil & Gas, Renewables, and Low Carbon energy, contributing to the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safety engineering projects with technical excellence
  • Conduct safety assessments (e.g., consequence analysis, QRA, FSA, COMAH/Safety Case compliance)
  • Write and review technical reports
  • Mentor and lead junior engineers
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimations for new scopes
  • Engage directly with clients and help build strong relationships
  • Contribute to business growth and continuous improvement
  • Perform additional duties as reasonably required by the organization

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • Degree in a relevant engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered status (or close to obtaining it)
  • Strong experience in Process/Technical Safety within the energy sector
  • Proficiency in risk and safety management, QRA, and consequence analysis (PHAST preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of COMAH, Safety Case Regulations, and other relevant standards
  • Proven ability to lead scopes, manage budgets, and meet deadlines
  • Strong technical writing and peer-review skills
  • Experience contributing to winning proposals
