Anderson Knight are delighted to be partnering with one of our valued clients to assist in recruiting for a Group Accountant.

Our client is respected globally and operates within a highly regulated and innovative industry. The Group Accountant will play a key role, working closely with multiple entities helping effectively drive the business through a period of signification investment and growth.

This is a technical and accuracy focused role. This position will be responsible for verifying and signing off on accounts, budgets and forecasts for multiple entities, working with senior stakeholders to operate in line with group regulations.

The key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare consolidated monthly management accounts for the group, including detailed financial analysis and commentary.
  • Lead the planning and preparation of the group’s consolidated annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Produce management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and year-end audit deliverables for head office entities.
  • Supervise and review the bookkeeping processes of the head office company.
  • Prepare corporate tax computations for head office entities.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Group Financial Controller and CFO during the year-end consolidation and group accounts process, including audit planning, group consolidation preparation, drafting technical papers, and assisting with the production of statutory accounts.
  • Support the preparation and review of subsidiary statutory accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop, document, and enhance business processes to improve internal controls and ensure alignment with corporate policies.
  • Contribute to the implementation and delivery of the group’s internal audit plan.
  • Support group treasury operations, focusing on accurate cash flow forecasting and effective cash management.
  • Build strong working relationships with operational and finance teams across the business.
  • Provide ad hoc support to subsidiary finance teams as needed.

The main candidate will be a fully qualified who can demonstrate proven experience working on group financial statements and effectively operating across multiple business units. You will be experienced working with a larger business and will have a strong understanding of consolidations.

You will possess excellent interpretative and analytical skills to deal with complex issues and drive solution-based processes in order to meet tight deadlines.

To succeed in this role you will need an understanding of IFRS and other relevant GAAP.
