Project Manager – Electrical Infrastructure (Renewable Energy)

Location: Glasgow (with UK-wide travel as needed)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + benefits

Sector: Renewable Energy / Power Infrastructure

I’m working with a leading renewable energy contractor that’s delivering some of the UK’s most critical electrical infrastructure projects—and they’re now looking to hire an experienced

Project Manager to join their delivery team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of complex, multi-million-pound infrastructure projects that directly support the UK’s transition to clean energy. With a strong pipeline of secured work stretching over five years, this is a long-term opportunity in a stable and growing sector.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of electrical infrastructure projects—typically valued between £5M and £100M. From pre-construction planning through to final handover, you’ll ensure each project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of electrical infrastructure and grid connection projects

  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and on-site teams

  • Planning and scheduling work in coordination with internal engineers and external contractors

  • Ensuring projects comply with all HSEQ requirements

  • Managing project risks, reporting progress, and controlling costs

  • Carrying out regular site visits to monitor performance and resolve issues on the ground

What You’ll Bring

This role is ideal for a skilled Project Manager with experience in utilities, energy, or infrastructure—particularly those familiar with power systems and substation work.

Essential:

  • Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale infrastructure projects (£5M–£40M)

  • Strong working knowledge of LV, MV, and HV electrical systems

  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders, contracts, and project timelines

  • Competent in budget tracking, scheduling, and risk management

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the UK

What’s in It for You

  • Base salary of £75,000 – £85,000 (depending on experience)

  • Secure role with a guaranteed 5+ year pipeline of projects

  • Career development opportunities within a growing, forward-looking business

  • A chance to work on impactful renewable energy projects

  • Collaborative team culture and support from technical specialists
