Market Data Vendor Manager | Initial 6 months | £500 a day inside IR35 | Glasgow 2 x per week

We are currently seeking a Market Data Vendor Manager to join our team, who can leverage their expertise of Market Data and contract negotiations, to provide direction and management for vendor facing activities, to ensure that we obtain the most cost-effective Market Data services to meet business requirements.

Our Vendor Manager must therefore have a strong understanding of market data product and market data banking functions, as well as market data inventory systems, processes & procedures.

This role will be based in Glasgow on a hybrid basis (2 days p/w), with an initial contract duration of 6 months, and rates are £500 a day inside IR35.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direction and management for all Vendor facing and Business facing activities within their relevant Product categories and Business areas within Market Data Commercial Management in alignment with the overall Market Data strategy


• Act as point of escalation for contract and business related issues with the team


• Manage training and skills enhancement of the team


• Individually responsible for proactively managing a specified group of vendors on behalf of Market Data Financial Management ensuring that Barclays obtain the most cost effective market data services to meet business requirements

Required skills and expertise

• Previous experience in a Vendor Manager / Commercial Manager / BA role, specifically within Market Data in the financial services sector


• Proven knowledge of Market Data Vendor Management and contract negotiations.


• Market Data Banking functions knowledge


• Good understanding of market data inventory systems, processes and procedures
