We are seeking a Specialist Chemotherapy Nurse to support patients undergoing Oncology/Chemotherapy treatments in the community, working alongside designated hospitals and health centres in the Glasgow area
Your Role:
In this role, you will be instrumental in educating and supporting patients through their treatment journey, ensuring services are delivered with a patient-centric and customer-focused approach
Conduct clinical assessments tailored to individual patient needs
Deliver education and training to enable patients and carers, to safely self-medicate relevant treatments
Provide ongoing support through comprehensive patient programmes (telephone, clinic-based, and home visits)
Assess home environments to ensure suitability for IV oncology treatment, prioritising patient safety and security

What We're Looking For: Registered Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
Chemotherapy delivery qualification (SACT certification)
Experience in administering oncology/chemotherapy medications, within a hospital or community setting
Competence in clinical assessments, IV administration, cannulation, phlebotomy, and subcutaneous injections
