Opportunity Overview: A fantastic opportunity has arisen to temporarily join my client as a Digital Specialist.
My client is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firm's employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments, and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 43 countries
Role Objective: The Finance Division globally reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the company's franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with the company's various industries and government regulators and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to the company's various businesses and its senior management team.
Team Profile: The global Finance Projects team is responsible for managing a considerable percentage of Finance's technology costs, helping to deliver across a wide portfolio of projects. The European team support the controller functions to navigate an ever-changing environment focusing primarily on Regulatory, Financial and Capital reporting. Within this, we manage changes to calculations and our external reporting to regulators including: the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) for the UK, the European Banking Authority (EBA) and ECB in Europe and the Federal Reserve in the US
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of the digital team to provide digital expertise in supporting Finance to deliver new heights of effectiveness and efficiency.
- Automate pre-existing processes as well as building new processes from the ground up.
- Troubleshoot pre-existing automation builds.
- Provide technical support to Finance team members.
- Promote the Finance digital toolkit and provide training across the user group.
- Use project management skills to deliver against stakeholder expectations.
- Produce ad hoc deliverables and management reporting materials.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of work experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI and UI path.
- Proficiency in MS Office, (Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word) including the ability to translate formula and macros to Alteryx/Tableau built-in functions.
- Strong data-oriented problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to work with virtual teams across varying regions towards the achievement of common goals.
- Aptitude for working in a swiftly changing dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated attitude with high standards for quality of work and accuracy.
