CMM Inspector Precision Engineering GlasgowTalent Media is working in partnership with our client in the precision engineering industry to recruit a skilled CMM Inspector based at their Glasgow facility.Location: GlasgowHours: 37 hours per week, Monday to FridayShift Rotation:Initially, the role is standard working hours, Monday to FridayOnce fully trained, the candidate will move onto a two or three-rotational shift pattern, which will be agreed with the line manager

Purpose of the Role:You will be responsible for the efficient inspection and verification of precision-machined components, ensuring strict adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Conduct first-off, interim, and batch inspections using various measurement tools

Operate CMM equipment with appropriate probes and attachments

Develop and document fixturing requirements per product

Produce clear inspection reports to meet customer and manufacturing needs

Analyse inspection reports and liaise with production on non-conforming or borderline features

Perform customer eyes visual inspections on final batches

Review and monitor CMM programs to optimise cycle times

Conduct CMM calibrations as required

Compile corrective action reports and ensure resolution

Sign off jobs post-inspection and support shop-floor checks

Able to work under time constraints to support on-time delivery

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:Practical experience inspecting machined components

Strong knowledge of PCDMIS (Zeiss Calypso experience a plus)Proficiency with CMM, Vision CMM, Shadow Graph, and other inspection tools

Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings

Experience producing control plans and SOPsIndustry experience with high-precision measurement techniques
