This role is intended to make a smooth transition for employees, with little experience but showing great potential to grow within the project management role, to move to an APM position once we have made sure that this employee has shown the same performance/ skills than any other APM with more experience.

As part of the Global Portfolio and Project Management team, the Associate Project Specialist will enable global business growth through efficient and achievable timelines from ideation through post launch evaluation for Geo Expansions, Geos with specific packaging, low complex Renovations, Discontinuations, Mandatory projects.

The Associate Project Specialist will lead discussions between Marketing, Commercial, R&D, Supply Chain, and other relevant internal and external global partners to deliver projects on time and escalating project risks and mitigation plans throughout the project lifecycle

This role provides exposure to some facets of the organization and requires a person with cross functional communication to drive meaningful discussion as it relates to project risk, timeline status, and quality.

• Responsible for managing low to medium complexity projects globally from ideation to evaluation to drive growth at Beam Suntory

Role Responsibilities

• Provide Support to PMs in some of their projects to help managing artwork routes and timelines in a way that is freeing up time for the PMs and helps to develop experience in project management.
• Develops timelines and identifies critical path milestones utilizing a project management system to plan and track low to medium complexity projects from ideation to post launch evaluation
• Coordinates project input from multiple cross functional internal and external partners through project status calls to ensure project is on track and/or escalate if delayed
• Schedules, leads, and publishes agenda and follow up action items for project status meetings
• Provides timely updates in project management system to ensure all team members have visibility and access to the most up to date information
• Assures accuracy of gate documents, P&L, risks, and Gantt chart for each project throughout the stage gate process through post launch evaluation
• Active role during preparation for and at stage gate meetings and ensures project adherence to gate principles
• Continuous improvement mindset to drive process and system improvements that enable efficient ways of working
• Demonstrates understanding of the business and interdependencies between projects
• Participates in team building within Global R&D, broader Beam Suntory initiatives, and external seminars for engagement and development
• Ability to work in a global environment with multi-cultural teams to successfully deliver quality products
  
  
  

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree Project Management or business-related field

Certifications/Licensure- Six Sigma & Project Management Certifications desired

Years of experience- Appreciated some experience in Project Management or in job that requires similar skills.

Level of experience- Demonstrated success in Project Management roles and influence with cross functional teams in an ever-evolving environment.

Industry experience- Spirits and or food industry experience a plus

Must be fluent in the English language (speak, read, write)

Travel 5%-10% globally as needed
