We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Core IT business unit as a Business Analyst on a full time basis in our Glasgow Office.
We are open to considering candidates on a part time or full-time basis
What will your role look like?
As a Business Analyst in the Digital Workplace Team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how collaboration and productivity tools are used across the firm. Working closely with Core IT and stakeholders at all levels, you’ll help identify opportunities for improvement, support the evaluation of development requests, and translate business needs into tangible outcomes. You’ll be involved throughout the software development lifecycle and take an active role in user engagement and support.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Core IT business unit as a Business Analyst on a full time basis in our Glasgow Office.

What will your role look like?
As a Business Analyst in the Digital Workplace Team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how collaboration and productivity tools are used across the firm. Working closely with Core IT and stakeholders at all levels, you’ll help identify opportunities for improvement, support the evaluation of development requests, and translate business needs into tangible outcomes. You’ll be involved throughout the software development lifecycle and take an active role in user engagement and support.
Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:
- Identifying, investigating, and analysing complex business problems and opportunities.
- Collaborating with Product Owners and end users to define functional and non-functional requirements.
- Mapping business processes, documenting user stories, and creating wireframes.
- Contributing to the planning and delivery of technical projects.
- Engaging with stakeholders across the organisation at various levels of seniority.
- Supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and change validation.
- Leading engagement activities to promote adoption and realise benefits of digital tools.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A user-focused mindset, advocating for usability and accessibility across digital platforms.
- A pragmatic approach to balancing business needs with technical capabilities.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a proactive and self-directed work ethic.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative working.
- Significant experience in business analysis, product development, or related roles, ideally within the M365 ecosystem including Dynamics.
- Confidence in engaging with both business users and technical teams.
- Experience coordinating agile software development projects.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques for requirements elicitation and documentation.
- Familiarity with UX/Human-Centred Design methodologies (ISO13407).
- Experience using Visio (or similar) for workflow creation and Balsamiq (or similar) for prototyping.
- Ability to lead workshops with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
