NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a fixed term position of 1 year.

The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm.

The CORE (Centre of Rostering Excellence) Team are responsible for the delivery of the Boards rostering systems, Health Roster and SSTS. SSTS is the well-established time and attendance system that relays shift and absence information directly from wards and departments to interface with the NHS payroll system. It also provides a range of workforce information for management reporting purposes. Health Roster is the early stages of configuration and roll out and provides robust eRostering functionality to help align staff resources to service requirements and safe staffing legislation.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for the successful applicant to be involved with the ongoing administration of the system, the payroll interface processes, and also the training for new and existing users of the system across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, NHS Lanarkshire, NHS Dumfries & Galloway, The State Hospital, The National Waiting Times Centre and NHS Western Isles. Once fully trained the successful applicant will become a local system expert, analysing reports, identifying user weaknesses, providing first line support to all users of SSTS and advice to the organisation to gain maximum benefits from the system.
