THE ROLE

Employee Benefit Consultant – Edinburgh/Glasgow

Duties Will Include The Following

  • Review current benefits packages for Clients/Prospects and assess their effectiveness
  • Recommend improvements or new benefits/policies that align with the company’s objectives, goals and budgets
  • Ensure the proposed benefits plans comply with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Present and explain the benefits to the Employer’s workforce, as and when required
  • Negotiate with insurers (whole of market) to secure the best possible terms for the Employer
  • Monitor and keep in touch with industry trends and legislative changes, in relation to employee benefits
  • Provide ongoing consultation on benefits-related issues and employee queries
  • Prepare and maintain reports and records related to benefits plans
  • To maintain and develop a portfolio of clients
  • Building relationships internally at AAB to help secure and provide referrals across the group

Essential

  • Be professionally qualified to a minimum of relevant level 4 qualification
  • Prior experience of delivering employee benefit consultancy
  • Ability to manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Proven to have identified and secured new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge and experience of the core Group Pension, Group Risk and Health & Wellbeing markets and products.
  • Enjoy working with and supporting your colleagues in both the office and hybrid environment.
  • Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with colleagues in other teams to ensure an effective and positive working environment.
  • Manage personal workload effectively to ensure appropriate service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have experience of flexible benefits platforms
