About You

  • Job Opportunity: Payroll Assistant (6-Month Contract)Contract Type: TemporaryHours: Full-time (35 hours per week)Start Date: ASAPiMultiply are recruiting for a well established organisation in Glasgow ini their search for an Interim Payroll Assistant for a 6 month contract to support during a payroll system transformation. The Role As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of payroll operations while they transition to a new system. You’ll work closely with HR, finance, and IT teams to maintain accurate records, process payroll data, and support the implementation of the new system. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for council employees
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including starters, leavers, and changes
  • Support data migration and testing activities related to the new payroll system
  • Respond to payroll queries from staff in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation updates during the transformation

  • Experienced in payroll administration
  • Confident using payroll software and Excel
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a changing environment
