Are you our new Risk Manager?
As a Risk Manager at Intrum UK, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening our risk culture by partnering with key departments including Operational areas across the business. You'll be the go-to Risk Partner, providing oversight, support, and challenge to our first line teams. Your mission: to embed and uphold our Risk Management Framework, ensuring we stay resilient, compliant, and forward-thinking.
You'll operate in either our Manchester or Glasgow office, with the added flexibility of hybrid working with travel to our other UK offices as required.

What You Will Do
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with department heads and their teams to embed risk awareness and improve risk maturity.
- Risk Oversight: Conduct independent reviews, control testing, and ensure adherence to the RMF.
- Governance Support: Guide and support on Risk Events, RCSAs, control testing, and governance reporting.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with risk and control owners, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Risk Monitoring: Lead monthly risk agenda sessions, track incidents, and support the identification of emerging risks.
- Training & Development: Deliver risk training and refresher sessions and communicate updates to the RMF.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct independent analysis of risk data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Action Plan Facilitation: Ensure timely resolution of issues, working closely with stakeholders to address control gaps and customer impact.
- Devoted to the FCA principle of Consumer Duty; by ensuring we are driving good customer outcomes across all aspects of services that have potential to impact our customers.
- Analytical and commercially aware individual, who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
- Proven experience in operational risk management compliance, or governance role within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and risk governance.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in building risk dashboards and analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Working towards or have achieved a risk qualification.
- Collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.
