About Antares Consultancy

Antares Consultancy is a specialist business transformation and AI consultancy focused on delivering complex operational, technology and process change programmes.

We work directly with organisations to solve difficult delivery problems, improve operational performance and execute large-scale transformation initiatives at pace.

Our delivery model is hands-on, commercially aware and outcome-focused. We operate in environments where ambiguity, complexity and stakeholder intensity are common, and where clients expect measurable progress quickly.

We are now looking for a Delivery Lead to support a major finance transformation and insourcing programme across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, VAT and Treasury.

Finance Transformation Delivery Lead

Accounts Payable | Accounts Receivable | VAT | Treasury

We are looking for a high-calibre Delivery Lead to support a major finance transformation and insourcing programme within a complex operational environment.

This is not a passive coordination role.

You will be responsible for driving delivery across a large remediation and transformation programme covering:

* Accounts Payable

* Accounts Receivable

* VAT

* Treasury

These services are currently outsourced to a third-party provider, with the contract ending in March 2027. A significant volume of operational, process, governance and control issues have already been identified and triaged, and we are now moving through structured resolution and implementation activity ahead of insourcing.

The current-state and future-state process maps already exist. The challenge now is disciplined execution.

We need somebody who can enter an active programme environment and immediately contribute.

What You Will Be Doing

You will work alongside senior stakeholders, operational teams and transformation resources to:

* Drive resolution of a large backlog of finance and operational issues

* Coordinate delivery activity across multiple workstreams

* Track dependencies, blockers and risks

* Push actions through to completion

* Maintain momentum in a fast-moving programme environment

* Support planning, governance and execution activity

* Facilitate workshops and delivery discussions

* Work directly with senior and often highly invested stakeholders

* Translate ambiguity into action and progress

You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership from day one.

The Environment

This programme moves quickly.

Priorities shift. Plans evolve. Dependencies emerge constantly. Stakeholders are passionate, experienced and engaged.

You must be comfortable operating in an environment where:

* Not everything is fully defined

* Decisions evolve as information becomes available

* Discussions can become complex and challenging

* Delivery pace matters

* The expectation is progress, not prolonged onboarding

This role is suited to somebody who naturally creates structure within ambiguity rather than waiting for perfect clarity.

What We Are Looking For

We are specifically looking for somebody who:

* Is highly organised and delivery-focused

* Can manage multiple moving parts simultaneously

* Is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and changing priorities

* Has strong stakeholder management capability

* Can confidently challenge where necessary

* Is resilient and calm under pressure

* Can work at pace without sacrificing quality

* Has strong problem-solving capability

* Takes ownership naturally

* Is comfortable operating in operational and transformation environments simultaneously

You must be able to hit the ground running.

This is not a role for somebody looking for a lengthy bedding-in period.

Experience Required

We are open to candidates from consulting, transformation, operational change or finance programme backgrounds, but experience in the following areas would be highly advantageous:

* Finance transformation programmes

* Shared services or outsourcing transitions

* Insourcing / operating model change

* AP / AR / VAT / Treasury operations

* Process remediation and controls improvement

* Governance and delivery management

* Complex stakeholder environments

Exposure to structured delivery methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, Lean or Six Sigma is beneficial.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means:

* Issues are resolved and closed at pace

* Workstreams progress predictably

* Risks are identified early

* Stakeholders remain aligned

* Delivery momentum is maintained

* The programme moves confidently toward successful insourcing by March 2027
