Role Description Our Glasgow Branch is looking for full-time, on-site Scaffolders role in the the Glasgow Area. The Scaffolder will erect, modify, inspect, and dismantle scaffold structures in line with project specifications, industry standards, and health and safety regulations. Daily responsibilities include interpreting drawings, planning safe access solutions, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring all equipment is used and stored correctly. The role involves working closely with supervisors, project teams, and other trades to coordinate scaffold requirements and maintain clean, secure work areas. The Scaffolder will also complete required safety checks, participate in toolbox talks, and promptly report any hazards, incidents, or defective equipment.
Qualifications
- Strong scaffolding skills, including erecting, altering, and dismantling scaffold structures in line with relevant codes and best practices.
- Demonstrated competence in working at height and using appropriate fall protection equipment and procedures.
- Experience working in confined spaces, with awareness of specific safety controls and permit-to-work requirements.
- Valid CSCS or equivalent site safety card appropriate for construction and infrastructure environments.
- Formal scaffolding training or certification (e.g., CISRS or equivalent) and a solid understanding of UK health and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Good physical fitness, manual handling capability, and commitment to safe working practices.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines in changing site conditions.
- Full UK driving license and previous experience in construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects are beneficial.
