Team Manager, Gap Homes Glasgow

Lead Something New. Change Young Lives.

Are you passionate about supporting young people to build brighter futures? Do you want to play a leading role in an exciting new service that helps prevent homelessness and creates opportunities for young people leaving care or unable to live at home?

This is your chance to be part of something truly innovative.

As Team Manager, you will help shape and develop Gap Homes Glasgow, a pioneering supported accommodation service that provides young people with safe, high-quality homes and the support they need to thrive, grow in confidence, and move towards independence.

Based in Glasgow, you will lead a dedicated team supporting young people across a newly developed accommodation service and through outreach support in the community. This is more than a management role. It is an opportunity to influence lives, build relationships, and create positive change every day.

About Gap Homes

Gap Homes is an innovative UK-wide Barnardo's initiative transforming housing and support options for vulnerable young people.

We know that the right home can change a life. By providing safe, high-quality accommodation alongside consistent, trauma-informed support, Gap Homes aims to reduce homelessness, prevent crises, and help young people build stable and successful futures.

The Glasgow Service

Located in Maryhill, this exciting new development features four self-contained tenancies designed to provide a safe and supportive environment where young people can grow in independence while receiving tailored support.

The service is part of Barnardo's wider supported accommodation network in Glasgow, offering access to established services, expertise, offices, and additional supported housing provision.

Alongside accommodation-based support, the team will provide outreach and floating support to young people living in the wider community, helping them maintain tenancies, strengthen life skills, and achieve their goals.

The Opportunity

As Team Manager, you will have a pivotal role in establishing and leading this service. Working alongside the Service Manager, you will help build a high-performing team, shape practice, and ensure young people receive outstanding support.

You will oversee:

  • Referrals, assessment and admissions
  • Care planning and reviews
  • Multi-agency partnership working
  • Risk assessment and safeguarding
  • Planned transitions and move-on support
  • Outreach and floating support services
  • Supervision, coaching and development of staff

We're looking for a motivated, resilient and compassionate leader who understands the challenges many young people face and believes in their potential.

Most importantly, you'll share our belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to feel safe, valued and hopeful about their future.

If you're excited by the opportunity to lead an innovative service, support young people through some of the most important transitions in their lives, and be part of a team committed to changing futures, we'd love to hear from you.
