FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a leading multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy with the recruitment of a Chartered Building Surveyor.

Permanent position. This role will be based in Glasgow.

Salary

£45,000–£75,000 (depending on experience) + performance-related bonus + professional development support + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a broad range of professional and project-based building surveying services.
  • Undertake PPM surveys, condition surveys, technical due diligence and building pathology investigations.
  • Prepare specifications, schedules of work, technical reports and Reinstatement Cost Assessments.
  • Manage maintenance, repair, refurbishment and insurance reinstatement projects.
  • Act as Contract Administrator under JCT and SBCC forms of contract.
  • Prepare Schedules of Condition and Dilapidations.
  • Provide clear technical advice and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.

Skills & Experience

  • Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Broad experience delivering professional building surveying services.
  • Strong knowledge of construction technology, building pathology and PPM programmes.
  • Experience managing refurbishment projects and administering JCT or SBCC contracts.
  • Strong technical reporting, organisation and client-management skills.
  • Good understanding of CDM Regulations and relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Competence using Microsoft Office and CAD software.
  • Proactive, commercially aware and able to manage multiple instructions.
  • Full UK driving licence.
