A leading independent firm of Chartered Surveyors is looking to expand its specialist Rating team due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work. Your new role
You will join a well-established Rating team, advising clients on Council Tax, Domestic Rating, valuation appeals and property taxation matters. Working across a varied property portfolio, you will play a key role in reviewing assessments, identifying appeal opportunities and providing specialist advice to clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing Council Tax and Domestic Rating appeals.
• Reviewing property assessments and identifying opportunities for reductions and rebanding.
• Undertaking property inspections and valuation analysis.
• Preparing reports and providing strategic advice to clients.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and market developments.
• Supporting wider professional services and valuation work where required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualified in Real Estate, Surveying, Property or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in Council Tax, Domestic Rating, valuation, general practice or a related property discipline.
• MRICS qualified, APC enrolled, or looking to pursue chartership.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
• A proactive approach and genuine interest in building a career within rating and valuation consultancy.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
