About the RoleA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Adviser to take over and manage an established book of approximately 100 clients from a Glasgow office.
You will be responsible for building strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, providing high-quality financial advice and ensuring their financial planning continues to meet their needs as their circumstances, legislation and the wider economic environment change.
Working closely with a dedicated Paraplanning and Client Services team, you will have the support required to deliver an excellent advice proposition while also developing new business opportunities through referrals, existing client relationships and other lead sources.
Key Responsibilities- Take responsibility for an established portfolio of approximately 100 clients
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Act as a trusted Financial Adviser and key point of contact for clients
- Develop a detailed understanding of clients' financial circumstances, objectives and long-term goals
- Provide high-quality, tailored financial advice
- Conduct regular annual client review meetings and ensure these are fully documented
- Follow the firm's financial advice process and all relevant service, compliance and regulatory standards
- Use cash flow modelling tools where appropriate to demonstrate the impact and benefits of financial planning
- Work closely with Paraplanners and Client Services teams to deliver an excellent client experience
- Review clients' financial plans and make appropriate recommendations based on their changing circumstances
- Identify opportunities for additional business within the existing client bank
- Generate new leads and appointments through referrals and other business development activity
- Build and maintain relationships with professional introducers and referral partners where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and compliant client files
- Ensure all advice and client activity meets regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue and develop the existing client bank
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative and client-focused team environment
The successful candidate will be an experienced Financial Adviser with a strong track record of building trusted client relationships and delivering high-quality financial advice.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Financial Adviser
- Experience managing an established client bank
- Strong relationship management and client communication skills
- A proven ability to understand client goals and translate them into effective financial planning solutions
- Experience conducting annual client reviews
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, investments and wider wealth management
- Experience with cash flow modelling would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Commercial awareness and an ability to identify business development opportunities
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage your own client relationships
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with Paraplanners and support teams
- A professional, energetic and client-focused approach
- Relevant Level 4 Financial Planning qualification or equivalent
- Experience working within a regulated Financial Advice environment
- Relevant professional qualifications and ongoing CPD
- £55,000–£65,000 salary
