Senior Project Accountant (Interim) Glasgow | Hybrid Working | Competitive Day Rate

Robert Half is partnering with a leading engineering and project-driven organisation to recruit an Interim Senior Project Accountant for a key assignment supporting a portfolio of complex, high-value projects.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a qualified accountant with strong project accounting experience who can quickly integrate into the business, provide financial leadership across project teams, and support critical commercial and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight and support across multiple ongoing projects and contracts.
• Deliver accurate project reporting, forecasting and financial analysis to senior stakeholders.
• Support project managers with budgeting, cost control, profitability analysis and risk management.
• Review project performance, identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• Ensure appropriate revenue recognition and contract accounting treatment, including IFRS 15 compliance.
• Assist with project reviews, contract evaluations and commercial decision-making.
• Improve reporting processes and strengthen project finance controls where required.
• Support month-end, forecasting and business planning cycles.
• Partner with operational teams to drive project performance throughout the contract lifecycle.

About You

• CA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and long-term contract accounting.
• Commercially minded with the ability to influence operational stakeholders.
• Available at short notice or immediately available preferred.
