Accounts Associate – Practice

Employment: Full-time, permanent

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Associate to join our clients growing accountancy practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their next step within practice, gain exposure to a broad range of clients and develop their knowledge in a supportive environment.

You will work closely with experienced professionals, supporting the delivery of a high-quality service to their clients. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of assignments and industries, gaining a strong understanding of how businesses operate and how finance can support their growth.

What you'll be doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support with the preparation of accounts and financial statements for a range of clients
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns as well as preparing bookkeeping records
• Being confident in dealing directly with clients and HMRC directly
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts and financial information
• Carrying out Capital Gains Tax (CGT) calculations
• Assisting with personal and corporation tax computations and returns.
• Performing reconciliations and reviewing financial records.
• Supporting senior team members.

Qualifications

Ideally, you will be studying towards, or have an interest in pursuing, a professional accountancy qualification.
