Job Description

  • Job Title: Facilities Supervisor
  • Job Type: Permanent
  • Location: Glasgow
  • Hours: 35 hour per week, Monday to Friday

What You'll Be Doing

As our Facilities Supervisor, you'll lead the day-to-day facilities operation at our Glasgow site, ensuring our laboratories, equipment, and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, and running efficiently. You'll work closely with laboratory, quality, and operational teams while supervising a small facilities team and managing contractors to deliver a high standard of site support.

  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and contractor activities across the site
  • Lead, support, and develop the Facilities team
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, Health & Safety, and quality requirements
  • Oversee building infrastructure, statutory inspections, and business continuity activities
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to minimise disruption and support site operations

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in facility management, building maintenance, or a similar operational environment.
  • Previous experience leading, supervising, and performance-managing a team.
  • Strong communication, organizational, IT, and stakeholder-management skills, with attention to detail and audit readiness.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, quality, and health & safety requirements; experience in a regulated environment is advantageous.
  • Secondary education required; facility management, HSE, supervisory (e.g., ILM), or trade qualifications (electrical, plumbing, joinery) are desirable.

Facilities Supervisor, Facilities Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor, Building Services Supervisor, Engineering Team Leader, Health & Safety Coordinator, Compliance Supervisor, or Operations Supervisor.

This role is ideal for someone looking to take ownership of site facilities, lead a team, and play a key role in supporting a busy scientific environment.
