IT Support Engineer - #2167285
Mexa Solutions
IT Support Engineer
£30,000 – £35,000 | Glasgow | Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Ready to put your support skills to work on something bigger?
You’ve built a solid grounding in IT support. You’re comfortable helping users, troubleshooting problems and getting hands-on.
Now you want more exposure. More variety. And the chance to get involved in the infrastructure behind the devices you support. This will include getting involved in all company infrastructure projects as well as day to day IT user support.
Joining a growing software company, you’ll combine day-to-day IT support with helping set up a brand-new Glasgow office. There’s plenty to contribute from the start, with an experienced Senior IT Engineer alongside you as you develop.
What’s in it for you?
- £30,000 – £35,000 salary
- Hybrid working: Three days per week onsite.
- Office move: Based in East Kilbride initially, moving to a brand-new Glasgow office in October/November 2026.
- Broader experience: A mix of 1st and 2nd line support, desktop, networking, infrastructure and project work.
- Room to develop: Build your technical skills within a close-knit IT team, working alongside an experienced Senior IT Engineer.
What you’ll do
You’ll be someone colleagues can turn to when technology gets in their way. That means resolving issues, explaining things clearly and helping people get back to work.
Your role will include:
- Supporting Microsoft 365, Windows, laptops, desktops and Macs.
- Troubleshooting hardware and networking issues.
- Providing a hands-on IT presence in the office.
- Helping move, install and configure equipment for the Glasgow office relocation.
- Supporting infrastructure changes and wider IT projects.
Over time, you’ll build further experience across Windows Server, networking and infrastructure, giving you room to grow beyond day-to-day user support.
What you’ll bring
You’ll already have experience in a 1st or 2nd line support role, along with:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows.
- Confidence supporting end users and their devices.
- Basic networking knowledge and a practical approach to troubleshooting.
- Clear communication and a willingness to help your teammates.
- The initiative to get involved and the curiosity to keep learning.
Your next step
If you enjoy support but want to broaden your skills, this role gives you plenty to get stuck into. You’ll help colleagues every day, contribute to a major office move and develop towards broader infrastructure work.
