Junior Graphic Designer - #2167928
The Kitchen Depot
Glasgow Hillington (HQ)
About The Kitchen Depot
At The Kitchen Depot, we believe a kitchen is more than a collection of cabinets. It’s the heart of the home where families come together, memories are made and everyday life happens.
We’re a manufacturer-led kitchen business with an ambitious franchise network, bringing together great design, British manufacturing expertise and a genuinely personal approach to help more people create kitchens they love.
We’re ambitious about where we’re going and committed to creating a business our customers, franchise partners and colleagues are proud to be part of.
Our central marketing team plays an important role in helping our showrooms grow while protecting the strength and consistency of The Kitchen Depot brand.
We’re now looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our growing marketing team and help bring our brand to life.
The opportunity
This is an exciting time to join The Kitchen Depot. We’re investing in our brand, developing new products, growing our franchise network and evolving how we connect with customers across the UK.
From new product ranges and campaign materials to showroom launches and brand development, you’ll work across a varied mix of projects and help create thoughtful, consistent and engaging design.
It’s a great opportunity for a designer looking to build their experience in a commercial marketing environment, develop their creative skills and see their work make a tangible difference.
You’ll work alongside an experienced marketing team, with support from freelancers and agencies on larger projects, while having plenty of opportunity to contribute your own ideas.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll help bring our marketing activity to life across both digital and print.
Design & artwork
· Creating and updating brochures, catalogues and product information.
· Designing artwork for product launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
· Producing flyers, posters, point-of-sale and showroom materials.
· Updating existing designs as products, pricing, imagery and messaging evolve.
· Preparing accurate, print-ready artwork and managing deadlines.
Digital & campaign creative
· Creating and adapting graphics for social media, digital advertising and website content.
· Supporting campaign creative across multiple channels.
· Working with the marketing team to ensure creative supports our wider objectives.
· Helping maintain a consistent visual identity across customer touchpoints.
Brand & creative development
- Working within our brand guidelines and helping evolve our visual identity.
- Developing and maintaining templates for our teams and franchise partners.
- Contributing ideas to improve our creative output and how we communicate the brand.
- Keeping design files and creative assets organised and accessible.
You’ll work closely with the wider marketing team, taking briefs, collaborating on projects and turning ideas into polished creative work. As you develop, there’ll be opportunities to take on more responsibility and work across a wider range of projects.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with a good eye for design, a positive attitude and a genuine interest in developing their craft.
You don’t need years of experience. What matters is that you have the foundations, curiosity and willingness to learn.
You’ll ideally have:
- A qualification in graphic design or a related creative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
- A portfolio demonstrating your design ability, attention to detail and understanding of visual communication.
- An understanding of typography, layout, colour and visual hierarchy.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A methodical approach to artwork, with an appreciation for accuracy and consistency.
- The confidence to ask questions, take feedback and keep developing your skills.
Experience with print artwork, brand guidelines or marketing materials would be beneficial, but we’re more interested in your potential than a long list of previous job titles.
You’ll take pride in your work, enjoy collaborating with others and be happy to roll up your sleeves to get things done. We value initiative and fresh thinking, so while you’ll have clear guidelines and templates to work from, we also want someone who isn’t afraid to suggest a better way of doing something.
Who you’ll be
How we work matters just as much as what we achieve.
We’re building a culture rooted in integrity, honesty, curiosity and putting people first. We’re looking for someone who:
- Brings positive energy and a collaborative approach.
- Is curious, open to feedback and keen to learn.
- Takes ownership of their work and follows through on commitments.
- Cares about getting the details right.
- Is comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change.
- Wants to contribute to something bigger than simply completing a list of design tasks.
You don’t need to know everything when you join us. But you should be enthusiastic about learning, willing to take responsibility and excited by the opportunity to grow with the business.
Why join The Kitchen Depot?
You’ll be joining a business with ambition, momentum and plenty of opportunity ahead.
- Variety: Work across product launches, brochures, showroom openings, digital campaigns and brand development.
- Creative development: Build your skills within a commercial marketing team and broaden your experience as you grow.
- Visible impact: See your work used across our showrooms, campaigns and customer communications.
- An exciting time to join: Be part of our next stage of growth as we develop our brand, products and franchise network.
- A team that cares: Work with people who value collaboration, integrity and doing the right thing.
- Room to contribute: Bring your ideas, challenge how things are done and help us continually improve.
We’re looking for someone who wants to do good work, learn from the people around them and be part of building something they can be proud of.
If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
