As Engineering Manager , you will be responsible for designing and delivering a modern data platform. You'll work across data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption layers, ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, and capable of supporting future AI and automation initiatives.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence both technical strategy and hands-on delivery while building a high-performing engineering capability.

  • Experience implementing data quality, lineage, monitoring, and observability frameworks.
  • Good understanding of master data management concepts and enterprise data modelling.
  • Demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and coaching engineering teams.
  • Experience operating within hybrid internal and outsourced delivery environments.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with ERP platforms or asset-intensive industries.
  • Designing and operating multi-tenant data platforms.
  • Cloud platform expertise across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience with technologies such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Snowflake, or similar modern data platforms.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, and agent-based architectures.
  • Hands-on experience delivering master data management initiatives.
  • Relevant cloud, architecture, or data engineering certifications.

This is a hybrid working role with 3 days per week required on site in Glasgow, with free parking available.

Salary is up to £80,000 plus benefits which includes an enhanced pension contribution.
