Technical Lead – Power Platform / Front-End Development - £600 – £700 Per Day | Glasgow (Hybrid) | Consultancy

Overview:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Lead / Lead Developer to join a major technology transformation programme based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and modernisation of applications across the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, combining strong hands-on front-end development expertise with technical leadership and governance.

This role requires an experienced developer who remains actively involved in coding, with strong experience across React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Power Apps and Dataverse, alongside the ability to oversee offshore development teams and support successful production deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and enhancement of applications using React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript and Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
• Support the modernisation of existing applications, with a particular focus on the transition towards Power Platform Code Apps.
• Develop and integrate solutions leveraging Dataverse, Dataverse Web API, Power Automate and Snowflake.
• Provide hands-on development expertise, independently writing, reviewing and governing code to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Oversee technical delivery across offshore development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards and development best practices.
• Collaborate closely with onshore leadership to manage day-to-day technical delivery activities.
• Drive successful application deployments, production releases and technical troubleshooting.
• Utilise AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development processes and improve delivery efficiency.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of experience within software engineering, application development or technical leadership positions.
• Strong hands-on front-end development experience using React.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Extensive experience across Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Dataverse, Dataverse Web API and Power Automate.
• Experience supporting application modernisation initiatives, ideally involving Power Platform Code Apps.
• Proven ability to independently write, review and govern production-quality code.
• Strong experience managing and overseeing development delivered by offshore engineering teams.
• Demonstrable experience leading technical delivery while remaining actively involved in hands-on development.
• Experience supporting production deployments, application releases and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience utilising AI-assisted development tools.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with Snowflake and associated data integrations.
• Broader experience across the Microsoft Power Apps and Power Platform ecosystem.
• Experience implementing automation to improve development and deployment processes.
• Previous experience delivering large-scale application modernisation programmes.

• Day Rate: £600 – £700 Per Day
