Managing Quantity Surveyor / Senior Commercial ManagerLocation: ScotlandSalary: Highly Competitive Package + Benefits

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor / Senior Commercial professional to join a large, privately owned developer experiencing significant growth and investment.

Working on major, technically complex and highly regulated construction projects, you will play a key role in supporting the Commercial Director as the business develops and strengthens its commercial team.

With projects incorporating significant M&E packages, this opportunity would particularly suit someone currently working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor or major M&E contractor who has strong commercial management experience alongside an excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical packages.

The Role

Working closely with a supportive and experienced Commercial Director, you will:

• Take commercial responsibility for major construction and M&E packages.
• Lead procurement, subcontractor management and commercial negotiations.
• Manage cost reporting, forecasting, valuations and commercial risk.
• Support and develop members of the commercial team.
• Work collaboratively with project, design, procurement and operational teams.
• Provide commercial input at senior management level.
• Help develop the commercial function as the organisation continues to grow.

About You

You will ideally be an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager or senior-level QS with:

• A background with a Tier 1 Main Contractor or large Tier 1 M&E contractor.
• Strong M&E commercial knowledge, which is essential.
• Experience delivering large and technically challenging projects.
• Strong contractual and commercial management capability.
• The confidence and ambition to progress into a broader leadership position.
• A collaborative management style and the ability to build and develop teams.
