This is an opportunity to join a respected and growing company where no two days are the same. You will work onboard vessels, visit ports across the UK and Europe, and play a critical role in maintaining life-saving fire protection systems that keep crews and vessels safe.

Importantly, we are keen to speak with experienced engineers as well as those with transferable marine, engineering or fire suppression experience who are looking to develop their career. Training and support can be provided for the right individual.

Why Join Us?

  • Realistic earnings of £50,000-£60,000+ through overtime opportunities.
  • Extensive manufacturer and industry-recognised training.
  • Opportunity to gain offshore certifications and specialist marine qualifications.
  • Company vehicle provided.
  • Travel throughout the UK and Europe.
  • No call-out rota.
  • Genuine long-term career progression within a growing business.
  • Work on some of the most advanced commercial vessels and marine assets operating today.
  • Supportive team environment where experienced engineers mentor and develop the next generation of talent.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, testing and certification of critical marine fire protection and life-saving systems onboard commercial vessels and offshore assets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Servicing and certification of marine firefighting equipment.
  • Inspection and maintenance of fixed fire suppression systems including CO₂, foam and dry powder systems.
  • Testing and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Servicing breathing apparatus and emergency escape equipment.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to critical safety equipment.
  • Producing service reports and certification documentation.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to developing engineers.

  • Marine, offshore or vessel engineering background.
  • Experience working with safety-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of CO₂, fire suppression or fire protection systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Package

  • £38,000 - £42,000 basic salary.
