Alexander Steele Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an established and successful business that continues to go from strength to strength, as they look to appoint a Finance Assistant to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a progressive business that is investing in its future, embracing new technology and continually looking for ways to improve and evolve.

The role will have a particular focus on Purchase Ledger and Cash Management, but we're looking for someone who wants to contribute more than simply completing day-to-day transactions. You'll be naturally inquisitive, commercially aware and have the confidence to investigate discrepancies, identify anomalies and challenge processes where improvements can be made.

The Opportunity

Working within the finance function, you'll play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of financial processes, maintaining accurate records and supporting the continued development of the department.

As the business continues to grow and modernise its operations, there will be opportunities to get involved in process improvements, automation and the implementation of new systems.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally covering purchase ledger and cash management.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• A natural problem-solver who enjoys investigating discrepancies.
• Confident with technology and quick to learn new systems.
• A proactive individual with an interest in process improvement.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with Lady Lodge would be advantageous, although certainly not essential.

The Details

• Location: Glasgow
• Working pattern: Full-time, office-based
• Salary: £30,000–£33,000, depending on experience.
