We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
This is a remote role, where you'll need to travel to Scotland once a month.
As our Electrical Design Engineer you'll be you will be working as part of the Engineering Team.
You'll be responsible for managing the Electrical Engineering aspects of clean & wastewater projects within the capital delivery works programme.
You'll be working within a multi-disciplinary team on projects focusing primarily on water & wastewater M&E capital maintenance and growth projects.
Assisting Project Managers with knowledge to complete design and project engineering deliverables within the Pre-Construction phase.
Attend and contribute to internal and external design review and progress meetings.
Participate in design coordination with other engineering disciplines and professionals.
Engineering outputs including Cable Calculations and Cable Schedules.
Produce electrical schematic diagrams and documentation.
Engineering drawings (Electrical drawings, containment and cabling routes, system layout drawings).
Review of specifications and designs against industry standards and specifications.
You'll produce Engineering reports, Feasibility studies, Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
This role can be remote but will require occasional office visits.

What you’ll bring
- Do you have an Electrical Degree / HND / HNC or equivalent in engineering or related discipline?
- Have you gained experience in design development for clean / wastewater non infrastructure or any utility industry?
- Do you have a clean driving licence?
- Are you Chartered or Incorporated (CEng/IEng) or working towards?
- You'll be confident, providing mentoring, guidance and technical advice to assist junior staff in their development.
- You'll need to have a proven ability to work within a team environment with a dedicated approach to meet project deadlines?
